The subscriber shall purchase and pay for leased lines to the police station. The City shall furnish, at the police station, a control panel to monitor the alarm system twenty-four hours per day, providing the following requirements are met:
(a) The installation of the alarm system shall be or shall have been installed by someone licensed to make such installations by the City.
(b) The control panel at the subscriber's residence or place of business shall be of the type listed by Underwriters' Laboratories.
(c) It shall be the subscriber's responsibility to determine if the system is functioning properly over the leased lines and to a point located in the alarm equipment room. Any system connected to the Police Department control panel shall be compatible with the modules furnished by the City and used to monitor such alarm system.
(d) The City assumes no liability in the event any alarm fails to function properly or is defeated in any way.
