16.08.010: ADOPTED:
A certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Warr Acres being marked and designated as the National Electric Code (NEC), 2017 edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City of Warr Acres, Oklahoma for the purpose of providing practical safeguarding of persons and of buildings and their contents from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, signaling and for the regulating and governing of the installation and removal of electrical conductors, equipment, and raceways, and optical fiber cables and raceways for the following in the City of Warr Acres:
A.   Public and private premises, including buildings, structures, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, and floating buildings;
B.   Yards, lots, parking lots, carnivals, and industrial substations;
C.   Installations of conductors and equipment that connect to the supply of electricity; and
D.   Installations used by the electric utility, such as office buildings, warehouses, garages, machine shops, and recreational buildings, that are not an integral part of a generating plant, substation, or control center. (Ord. 1219 §1, 2022: Ord. 293 §1, 1969: prior code §4-57)
