A. In the C-3 neighborhood shopping district, where a property is under one ownership and a street frontage exceeds two hundred feet (200'), additional or larger freestanding ground signs shall be permitted according to the following standards:
1. One additional freestanding ground sign shall be permitted for each two hundred (200) linear feet of frontage or portion thereof, up to the permitted maximum size of two hundred (200) square feet; or
2. If the property is a corner lot, or has frontage on two (2) intersecting streets, and exceeds four (4) acres in area, the street frontage calculations may be combined to locate one freestanding ground sign of up to four hundred (400) square feet in area on either frontage;
3. Any frontage above two hundred feet (200') utilized in calculations to permit an additional freestanding ground sign location shall not also be included in calculations to permit a larger sign, nor shall frontage used in calculations to permit a larger sign also be used to permit an additional sign location.
B. In the C-4 and C-5 districts, where a property is under one ownership and a street frontage exceeds two hundred fifty feet (250'), additional or larger freestanding ground signs shall be permitted according to the following standards:
1. One additional freestanding ground sign shall be permitted for each two hundred (200) linear feet of frontage or portion thereof, up to a maximum size of three hundred (300) square feet; or
2. If the property is a corner lot, or has frontage on two (2) intersecting streets, and exceeds four (4) acres in area, the street frontage calculations may be combined to locate one freestanding ground sign of up to five hundred (500) square feet in area on either frontage;
3. Any frontage above two hundred fifty feet (250') utilized in calculations to permit an additional freestanding ground sign location shall not also be included in calculations to permit a larger sign, nor shall frontage used in calculations to permit a larger sign also be used to permit an additional sign location.
