2.05.010: ITEM SUBMITTAL:
Matters to appear on the city council agenda shall be submitted by staff to the city clerk in writing with supporting documentation prior to five o'clock (5:00) P.M. on the Monday of the week prior to any regularly scheduled council meeting. Any council member will have the right to put any item on the agenda; provided, however, that they must submit their proposed item to the city clerk in writing with any supporting documentation at least one week prior to the five o'clock (5:00) P.M. deadline outlined herein. Upon receipt of a requested topic from the council member, the city clerk will forward the item to the appropriate staff for review so that the staff can submit any further supporting documentation that may be necessary. The city attorney shall review the proposed agenda item and may amend the proposed language of the agenda item so as to ensure its compliance with state law, the city charter or this code.
