The growth, processing, distribution and possession of marijuana (as defined in section 9.38.010 of this Code) possess a risk to the public health and safety of the citizens of the City of Warr Acres. In light of the enactment of State Question 788 by a majority of voters in the State of Oklahoma, the City of Warr Acres will permit the commercial growth, processing and sale of medical marijuana subject first to the terms of 63 Oklahoma Statutes sections 420A to 426 and also subject to the restrictions established herein. It is the policy of the City to authorize only that which is permissible at State law and nothing contained herein shall be interpreted as expanding any right or privilege related to the growth, processing or sale of medical marijuana beyond what is authorized at State law. To the extent that any right or privilege established by State law is modified or revoked through subsequent legislative enactment by the State Legislature, the provisions of this chapter shall be interpreted as incorporating in such subsequent enactment.
