5.52.100: DISPATCHING PROCEDURE:
Wrecker service calls shall be made according to the following procedure:
A.   The police department dispatcher shall notify the permittee currently at the top of the rotation list.
B.   The permittee shall not accept a call from the police dispatcher unless a wrecker and attendant are immediately available for dispatch at the time the service call is received.
C.   Every wrecker service call accepted shall be answered promptly. In the event an attendant will be delayed more than fifteen (15) minutes from the time of dispatch to arrival at the scene, the attendant shall notify his dispatcher who will, in turn, inform the police dispatcher that the permittee is unable to provide immediate service.
D.   In the event the permittee is unable to provide immediate service, the police dispatcher shall be advised of the reason therefor and shall notify the next permittee on the rotation list. If all permit holders are unable to provide immediate service, the dispatcher shall call the nearest permitted state licensed operator until service is obtained.
E.   No permittee shall proceed to the scene of impoundment until and unless it has been directed to do so by the police dispatcher.
F.   If the permittee arriving at the scene feels that he is not properly equipped or capable of performing required service, he shall immediately notify the police dispatcher for additional instructions or directions. (Ord. 740 §1, 1993)
