A. When an application is received by the city clerk it shall be forwarded to the police chief for review and inspection to assure full compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
B. Upon completion of review and inspection, the police chief shall forward the application and recommendations to the city council for public hearing. If the city council finds that the applicant is fully qualified, the council shall authorize a wrecker permit to be issued at the next council meeting to the applicant to engage in wrecker service for answering official police and city requests.
C. No application shall be forwarded to the council unless all requirements have been met. The police chief shall notify an applicant of any deficiencies who shall have twenty (20) days thereafter to correct the defect. If the deficiencies are not corrected within such time, the application shall be deemed withdrawn. (Ord. 740 §1, 1993)
