1442.03 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
   (a)   Two copies of plans, with specifications, either on drawings or as a separate document, shall accompany each application. A site plan shall also be submitted indicating the location of the structure with all of the required setback dimensions shown and stamped by a professional surveyor/engineer. All plans submitted shall show all phases of construction, drawn to scale. Such document shall contain sufficient information to show that the proposed work will conform to the provisions of the Building and Housing Code and all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. Each set of plans and descriptive information shall give the address of the work site, the lot identification of the work site, and the name and address of the owner and of the person who prepared the plans. The Director of Public Service and Safety, or his or her designee, may waive the requirement for filing plans when the work involved is of a minor nature and/or the building plan is adequately described in the application.
   (b)   Sufficient data to show the adequacy of the design shall be submitted when required by the Director of Public Service and Safety, or his or her designee. The Director of Public Service and Safety or his or her designee may accept an affidavit from a registered architect or registered professional engineer, stating that the design conforms to the provisions of the Building and Housing Code, and may thereafter waive the plan review fee under Section 1442.08.
   (c)   All contractors shall be registered with the City Engineering department prior to the issuance of any permit per Chapter 1444.
