§ 15-117 PERMIT REQUIRED FOR EXTENSION OF UTILITIES OUTSIDE CORPORATE LIMITS.
Any utility customer that adds additional infrastructure or substantially increases use that alters their demand to the city utility system must acquire a permit through the city prior to any work being performed. Such alterations shall include but shall not be limited to extending service to structures not already being served by city utilities, implementation of solar panels or other alternative energy solutions, conducting manufacturing activities, operating an event center or other gathering place, and any other activity that substantially increases demand on the city utility system. This will pertain to all electric, water, sewer and storm utilities provided by the city with all standard permit fees being applicable. Plan requirements are consistent with all permits. Inspections are required at the connection point to the city system, but not within the structure.
