§ 12-401 WAMEGO AIRPORT BOARD; CREATION; APPOINTMENT; TERMS; VACANCIES.
   The management and operation of the Wamego Municipal Airport shall be lodged in a Board consisting of five suitable persons from the citizens of the city and citizens who live within a three-mile radius of the city. They shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the governing body and shall be known as and constitute the Wamego Airport Board. The appointed members of the Board shall serve for three years except that the Mayor with the consent of the governing body shall initially appoint one Board member for a term expiring one year after the date of appointment, two Board members for a term expiring two years after the date of appointment; and three Board members for a term expiring three years after the date of appointment. Thereafter upon the expiration of the term of any Board member, the Mayor with the consent of the governing body shall appoint one person to serve as a Board member in each vacancy created for a term of three years. Any member of the Board may be removed by the governing body for the same cause as any appointive officer.
