§ 12-201 BOARD OF TRUSTEES; APPOINTMENT.
   (a)   The management and governance of the Wamego City Hospital shall be lodged in a Board of Trustees, consisting of seven suitable persons chosen with reference to their special fitness of such office. Except for the Trustees serving at the adoption of this ordinance who shall continue to serve, unless duly reappointed, until the end of their currently appointed terms without further action required by the governing body, each Trustee shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the governing body and shall be known as and constitute the Board of Trustees of the Wamego City Hospital.
   (b)   The Board of Trustees shall consist of positions numbered 1 through 7, inclusive. The members of the Board of Trustees, as it is constituted at the time of the adoption of this ordinance, shall be deemed to occupy positions numbered 1 through 5, inclusive, ordered with position numbered 1 assigned to the Board of Trustee member whose current term will be the first to expire following the adoption of this ordinance and position numbered 5 assigned to the Board of Trustee member whose current term will be the last to expire following the adoption of this ordinance with positions numbered 2, 3 and 4 assigned in like fashion to the other Board of Trustee members in similar order.
   (c)   Upon adoption and publication of this ordinance, the Mayor shall appoint, in accord with this section, a qualified person to Position Number 6 and Position Number 7. The initial term for Board of Trustee Position Number 6 shall be until December 31, 2000. The initial term of Board of Trustee Position Number 7 shall be until December 31, 2002.
