Following are the qualifications for certification as an electrician in the city.
(a) Any electrician who submitted an application to the city for certification as a master or journeyman electrician no later than November 14, 1991, and who received approval from the electrician’s Board of Certification as a grandfathered master or journeyman electrician, shall receive the corresponding certificate.
(b) Any electrician providing proof of passage of the prometrics tests for master or journeyman electricians shall receive the corresponding certificate.
(c) Any electrician who holds a current valid electricians certificate issued by a board of examiners from a city with a population equal to or greater than Wamego, and reciprocating with the City of Wamego, and who can give proof of comparable qualifications as determined by the Building Official, shall receive a certification (master or journeyman) from the City of Wamego corresponding to the certification held from the other city.
