Petty cash funds will be established for the following departments to improve operational efficiency and reduce the level of paperwork and manual effort in executing minor expenditures:
(a) The Administration/Finance Department shall maintain petty cash funds in the amount of six hundred dollars ($600.00). Said funds shall be accessed and accounted for by the Fiscal Officer. The Fiscal Officer shall use said funds for the benefit of the Village and shall make expenditures from this fund which, in his or her judgment, will promote the general welfare of the Village.
(b) The Police Department shall maintain petty cash funds in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00). Said funds shall be accessed and accounted for by the Police Chief. The Police Chief shall use said funds for the benefit of the Village and shall make expenditures from this fund which, in his or her judgment, will promote the general welfare of the Village.
(c) The Recreation and Community Life Department shall maintain petty cash funds in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Said funds shall be accessed and accounted for by the Recreation and Community Life Director. The Recreation and Community Life Director shall use said funds for the benefit of the Village and shall make expenditures from this fund which, in his or her judgment, will promote the general welfare of the Village.
