1670.01   INSPECTION OF UNDERGROUND TANKS AND INVENTORY RECORDS FOR UNDERGROUND STORAGE OF FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS.
   (a)   Ohio Administrative Code Emergency Rule Section 1301:7-9-15 authorizes the State Fire Marshal to delegate local certified fire inspectors the authority to conduct inspections of underground storage tanks for compliance with recently enacted State regulations concerning installations, repairs and upgrades. Accordingly, the Fire Department is hereby delegated the authority to perform such inspections, and, further, is authorized to obtain permission from the State Fire Marshal for authority to issue delegated underground storage tank permits. Such permits shall be issued in lieu of the permits required to be obtained from the State Fire Marshal by the owners and operators of underground storage tanks.
   (b)   Ohio Administrative Code Sections 1301:7-9-06, -07 and -08 are hereby incorporated by reference, and all property owners within the Village must be in compliance therewith.
   (c)   The operator of oil-burning equipment shall make an inventory of the underground tanks at least once every seven days for the purpose of checking whether or not there is any loss or accumulation of water.
