(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the Village the International Energy Conservation Code, being the 2006 edition thereof, and the whole thereof as if fully set out herein, save and except such portions as may be hereinafter deleted, modified or amended and except such provisions as are expressly provided for by Part Fourteen of the Codified Ordinances or by other ordinances of the Village.

(b) The 2003 Edition of the International Energy Conservation Code, a copy of which is available for reference in the office of the Building and Zoning Inspector of the Village of Walton Hills, Ohio, is hereby adopted as the energy conservation code for the Village of Walton Hills, Ohio.

Currently (at the time of the June, 2008 update to the Code of Ordinances), both the 2003 and the 2006 editions of the International Energy Conservation Code are in effect in the Village. This results from an April, 2008 Executive Order issued by Governor Strickland concerning the Energy Conservation Code and the National Electrical Code.
