1064.03   TRANSPORTATION FOR PERSONS FIFTY YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
   (a)   Purpose. The purpose of this section is to provide bus transportation for residents of the Village fifty years of age or older in order that they may participate in field trips for educational and recreational purposes.
   (b)   Conditions of Participation.
      (1)   A written request must be submitted to the Mayor or the Clerk of the Village one month prior to the desired date for participation in the bus transportation fund, indicating that such field trip shall commence and terminate on the same calendar date.
      (2)   Such request must be approved by Council, which shall take into consideration, either approving or disapproving, the following:
         A.   The approximate number of residents participating;
         B.   The destination of field trips;
         C.   The charter fee;
         D.   The allocation of funds;
         E.   The expenditure of funds for the number participating; and
         F.   That such field trip was advertised at least once in a local publication (the Walton Hills OWL).
   (c)   Duties of Recreation Director. Upon approval of Council, the Recreation Director is hereby ordered and directed to charter a bus, within the allocated funds, as set forth by Council, from a reputable bus transportation firm, which firm is to provide proper insurance.
