(a) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.

(b) The imposition of any penalty herein provided shall not preclude any appropriate action or proceeding in law or in equity to prevent a physical connection by pipes or otherwise with the water mains owned by the Village for the purpose of obtaining water therefrom without a permit from the Village in the manner and form above set forth, or to correct or abate any such act and violation.
