(a) The terms of office of full-time appointed officers of the Village shall commence not earlier than the second Monday in January and not later than the first Monday in February.
(b) With respect to such full-time appointed officers whose terms of office at the time of the passage of this section commenced at a date different than that set forth in subsection (a) hereof, the following shall apply:
(1) Upon the expiration of such term of office of any such officer, the subsequent term of office, an interim term, shall terminate not earlier than the second Monday in January and not later than the first Monday in February, immediately following the expiration of such term of office.
(2) Upon a vacancy in any such office as a result of death, disability, resignation or other cause provided by law, then the person appointed to fill the vacancy of such office shall be appointed for an interim term of office that shall terminate not earlier than the second Monday in January and not later than the first Monday in February, immediately following the vacancy in such office.
(c) With respect to any full-time appointed officer whose term of office commenced at a date different than that set forth in subsection (a) hereof and whose term has expired, but who is holding over in office by virtue of the fact that his or her successor has not been appointed, then as to such office the successor appointee shall be appointed for an interim term that shall terminate not earlier than the second Monday in January and not later than the first Monday in February, immediately following the appointment.
(d) Where a new office is created after the first Monday in February, the term of such office shall terminate not earlier than the second Monday in January but not later than the first Monday in February, immediately following the appointment to such office.
(e) Any annual salary previously established by ordinance for the offices to which appointments are made pursuant to subsections (b) and (c) hereof shall be inapplicable to such appointees, but such appointees shall be paid a salary determined by multiplying the annual salary by a fraction whose numerator shall be the number of months in the interim term of office and whose denominator shall be twelve.
(f) This section shall not affect the commencement or termination dates which are otherwise provided by the Ohio Revised Code for any appointed officer or board member.
