(a) The Police Department is hereby authorized to provide police protection to any county, municipal corporation or township without a contract, upon the authorization of the Chief of Police or the Mayor, pursuant to Ohio R.C. 737.041.
(b) Police Department members acting outside the Village limits, pursuant to this section, shall be entitled to participate in any pension or indemnity fund established by the Village or the State to the same extent as while acting within the Village limits, and are also entitled to other benefits provided by law.
