The Street Commissioner shall be responsible for the purchase of necessary materials and tools, such as stone, sand, tile, hand tools, paint, signs, etc., to assure the proper performance of his or her responsibilities within the monetary limits authorized by Council and for the procurement and hiring of adequate full and part-time emergency help to perform the duties of his or her office.
