238.05   PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS; PROGRESS REPORTS.
   (a)   The Engineer shall:
      (1)   Prepare and furnish to Council necessary plans, profiles, specifications and estimates of cost for such public improvements as he or she may be authorized by Council to prepare, and furnish to Council such other professional engineering advice as it may request.
      (2)   Supervise and serve as the representative of the Village in the execution of public improvements undertaken by Council pursuant to plans and specifications prepared by him or her, and supervise the execution of other public improvements when requested by Council.
      (3)   Upon request, make and deliver to Council reports of the progress of improvements under his or her supervision, stating conditions of the same together with any other matters of interest desired by Council.
      (4)   Assist and render such professional engineering advice to any department of the Village, when requested by the Village officer in charge thereof.
   (b)   All plans, specifications, profiles, estimates and other work products of the Engineer for which he or she is compensated under the terms of this chapter shall be the property of the Village, and all such property shall be filed in the office of the Clerk.
