(A) All citizen members of the Boone County Planning Commission shall receive and be entitled to compensation for their services as Commission members, this compensation to be in the maximum amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month, the particular sum for each citizen member to be determined on a per meeting or public hearing attended basis in accordance with standards or policy of the Commission. This compensation shall be approved for payment by the Commission at its first business meeting of each month for the prior month's service.
(B) Citizen members of all Boards of Adjustment shall receive and be entitled to compensation for their services, this compensation to be in the maximum amount of thirty dollars ($30.00) per month, the particular sum for each citizen member to be determined on a per meeting or public hearing attended basis in accordance with standards or policy of the Boards of Adjustment. This compensation shall be approved for payment by the Boards of Adjustment and requests for payments shall then be submitted to the Boone County Planning Commission office.
(C) It is specifically understood and agreed that the compensation for citizen members of the Boone County Planning Commission and Boards of Adjustment authorized herein shall come from funds of the Boone County Planning Commission.
(D) This section is in recognition of the service to Boone County by the Commission and Boards of Adjustment members as being deserving of compensation for the proper fulfillment of duties and responsibilities as such members and the time and effort necessary for this purpose.
(E) This section shall also serve as an affirmation of all prior agreements to establish and operate a county-wide planning commission as a joint planning unit under KRS Chapter 100.
