§ 30.006 CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER.
   (A)   City Clerk; duties. A City Clerk shall be appointed by the City Council for an indefinite term, and shall be removable by the Council. The City Clerk is an officer of the city, and has such duties as are prescribed by the Charter, applicable law, and ordinance.
   (B)   City Treasurer. There shall be a City Treasurer, who is an officer of the city and who shall be appointed by the Council for an indefinite term.
   (C)   Duties of the City Treasurer. The City Treasurer shall deposit daily all funds coming into his or her hands in such depositories as the Council may designate, and shall disburse such funds in the manner provided by applicable law or ordinance. He or she shall have such other powers, duties, and functions as may be prescribed by applicable law or by ordinance.
   (D)   City Manager to be ex officio City Treasurer. The duly appointed, qualified, and acting City Manager is hereby designated and appointed ex officio City Treasurer, with full power and authority to collect revenue and other moneys for the city, and to perform all other and further duties, as City Treasurer, authorized by the Charter, in addition to his or her duties as City Manager. No further or additional salary or compensation shall be allowed or paid to the City Manager for his or her services as ex officio City Treasurer.
