§ 50.10 TAMPERING WITH METERS UNLAWFUL.
   (A)   The tampering with water or electrical meters or meter boxes of the city, or the placing of any bypass connection on or around the meters, or the use of any other device tending to interfere with the proper registration of same is unlawful.
   (B)   Evidence of the violation of this section from information by a meter reader or other qualified employees of the city, duly supported by affidavit, shall be deemed prima facie evidence of the intent on the part of the person or persons using the equipment, to violate the provisions of the section.
   (C)   The Superintendent of the Department in charge or his or her authorized representative is hereby directed to discontinue service to any person, firm, or corporation found guilty of violation of this section. Service shall not be resumed until the estimated cost of the service that was used and diverted shall have been paid in full.
