§ 10.99 PENALTY.

   In accordance with G.S. l60A-175, violation of any provision of this code shall be punishable as follows:

   (A)   Any person, firm or corporation who violates any ordinance or any provision hereof for which no specific civil fine is otherwise provided shall be subject to a civil penalty of $50 per day. Each day's continuing violation shall be a separate and distinct offense.

   (B)   Except for a violation of Chapters 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 the violation of an ordinance or provision of this code does not constitute a misdemeanor or infraction. The violation of Chapter 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 shall be punishable as set forth therein.

   (C)   An ordinance contained herein may be enforced by other remedies, as authorized in G.S. l60A-175, the ordering of specific equitable relief, including injunctions, or a combination of remedies. In addition, any ordinance contained herein may be enforced by an appropriate equitable remedy issuing from a court of competent jurisdiction.
