§ 50.20  DISPOSITION OF DEPOSIT.
The town shall apply the deposit of any customer toward the unpaid balance of a customer only in the event that the deposit amount is greater than or equal to the unpaid balance, and in which case the remainder of the deposit will be refunded to the customer. A customer having an unpaid balance greater than the deposit amount will be required to pay the unpaid balance of their account before a deposit is refunded to them. In the case of a customer who has moved to a different location since an initial deposit was posted, the customer will be required to remit a new deposit for the new address. Deposits shall not be transferred from one address to another. Furthermore, a current customer moving to a different address during the middle of the billing cycle will be subject to service termination at the new address if the outstanding bill from the previous location is unpaid.
