§ 156.015  INTERPRETATIONS OF COMMONLY USED TERMS AND WORDS.
   (A)   Words used in the present tense include the future tense. Words used in the singular include the plural, and words used in the plural include the singular.
   (B)   The word “Town” shall mean the Town of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
   (C)   The words “Board of Commissioners” shall mean the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
   (D)   The words “Planning Board” shall mean the Planning Board of the Town of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
   (E)   The words “Board of Adjustment” or “Board” shall mean the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Town of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
   (F)   The word “may” is permissive.
   (G)   The word “shall” is mandatory.
   (H)   The word “lot” includes the words “plot” or “parcel.”
   (I)   The word “structure” includes the word “building.”
   (J)   The words “used” or “occupied” as applied to any land or building shall be construed to include the meaning “intended, arranged or designed to be used or occupied.”
   (K)   The words “person” or “applicant” include a firm, association, organization, partnership, corporation, company, trust, individual or government unit.
   (L)   The word “street” includes the words “road” or “highway.”
   (M)   The words “regulations” or “zoning regulations” shall mean the zoning ordinance of the Town of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
   (N)   The words “zoning map” shall mean “the official zoning map of the Town of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.”
