§ 50.02  WATER/SEWER CONNECTION REQUIRED.
   (A)   Each owner of improved property located upon or within a distance of 300 feet of any town water line shall connect the plumbing system of his or her premises with the town water system; provided that any such owner who already has in use a private well may, in lieu of connecting his or her premises with the town water system, pay the minimum monthly charge established for water services and may continue the use of the well for domestic household water use as long as the well remains suitable for such use or for a period of ten years, whichever comes first. Should the well cease to be suitable, said owner will be required to connect to the town water system and will not be allowed a replacement well.
   (B)   Each owner of improved property located upon or within a distance of 300 feet of any town sewer line shall connect the plumbing system of his or her premises with the town sewer system; provided, that any such owner who already has in use a septic tank approved by County Environmental Health may in lieu of connecting his or her premises to the town sewer system pay the minimum monthly charge established for as long as such charge is duly paid and for so long as said septic system remains suitable for such as determined by County Environmental Health or for a period of ten years, whichever comes first. Should the septic system cease to be suitable, said owner will be required to connect to the town sewer collection system and will not be allowed a replacement septic system.
