§ 113.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CARNIVALS, SHOWS, CIRCUSES and PARADES. An event that occurs not more often than two times a year and is conducted in open areas, under temporary structures or tents, and is not permanently located at the site and does not occur at any site for a period in excess of seven consecutive days.
   EXEMPT ORGANIZATION. An organization that has been in continuous existence within the town or county for at least one full calendar year and is exempt from taxation under I.R.C. § 501(c)(3), (c)(4), (c)(8), (c)(10), (c)(19) or (d) or is exempt under similar provisions of the General Statutes as a bonafide non-profit charitable, civic, religious, fraternal, patriotic or veterans organization or as a non- profit Volunteer Fire Department or as a non-profit volunteer rescue squad.
   PERMITTED ACTIVITIES. Entertainment rides, informational displays, food sales and other similar activities. However, it shall be unlawful to conduct games of chance or any games that require an element of chance that exceeds any element of mental or physical skill in order to win a prize.
