§ 90.01 STOCK RUNNING AT LARGE.
   Whenever the police force shall find any hog, cow, sheep, goat, horse or mule, or any other livestock running at large, it shall be its duty to take up and put that animal or any other livestock in pens or lots. After two weeks’ notice in a newspaper published in the town, the Chief of Police shall sell the same at the Town Hall door at public auction to the highest bidder for cash and return the proceeds after paying the cost of the sale to the Town Treasurer. However, the owner of the hog, cow, sheep, goat, horse, mule or other livestock shall be entitled to the same by identifying and proving ownership to property and paying the sum of $1 per head and all expenses before sale.
