No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer or traffic-control device in any of the following places:
(A) On the sidewalk;
(B) Within an intersection;
(C) On a crosswalk;
(D) Within 30 feet of any flashing beacon, stop sign or traffic-control signal located at the side of a street or roadway;
(E) Grade crossing approaches; no vehicle shall be parked on either side of any street approaching a grade crossing within 50 feet of the closest rail; provided that, where existing permanent structures are located along the street and closer than 50 feet, parking may be permitted in front of the structures, unless otherwise prohibited, if the parking does not interfere with the view in either direction of an approaching locomotive or train;
(F) Along side or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when the stopping or standing or parking would obstruct traffic;
(G) On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped, standing or parked at the edge or curb of a street; and
(H) Within ten feet of any water hydrant.
