For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
APPLICANT. Each natural person applying for a solicitation permit pursuant to this chapter.
COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY. Any commercial display, enterprise, promotion, exhibit, or other activity offering products, goods, wares, merchandise, provisions, or services for sale or rent.
PEDDLER/SOLICITOR. Any person traveling by foot, motor vehicle, or any other type of conveyance who contacts any other person, unsolicited, at any residence, business, or dwelling within the city, for the purpose of selling any product, good, ware, merchandise, provision, or service, or for the purpose of taking orders for the future sale or delivery of any product, good, ware, merchandise, provision, or service.
