All sidewalks and curbs constructed within the corporate limits of the city shall be constructed under the supervision of, and subject to, the inspection of the City Engineer or his or her representative, ensuring conformity with appropriate lines and grades, and incorporating best practices to meet industry standards for construction at that time. The city shall make the City Engineer available to provide guidance on best practices and industry standards to any applicant seeking to construct sidewalks or curbs within the corporate limits of the city.
