After the work has been started, it shall be diligently and continuously prosecuted until completed, and all work shall be completed within a reasonable time of the date specified in the permit, unless an extension of time for good cause shown is approved, in writing, by the City Council. A request for an extension shall be made in writing and filed with the City Clerk/Treasurer and approved, in writing, by the City Council.
