§ 30.01 ELECTION; TERM.
   (A)   The City Council, consisting of six members, and the Mayor shall be elected to office for four-
year terms at the time and in the manner as provided by the laws of the state.
   (B)   The City Council shall be the legislative department of the city and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be delegated by statute to it.
