§ 151.07 PERMITS REQUIRED.
   (A)   A permit shall be obtained before beginning construction, alteration or repair of any building or structure, the cost of which exceeds $1,000, using forms furnished by the Building Commissioner, and all fees required by this code shall be paid to the Town Clerk-Treasurer. A permit issued pursuant to this subchapter expires one year from date of issuance. All contractors will supply the Building Commissioner with a $5,000 bond and proof of all insurance coverage required by the Town.
   (B)   A building permit may be renewed at the expiration of one year upon payment of one-half of the cost of the original permit fee. The renewal of the permit shall be for a period of six months. Any second or subsequent renewal of a permit can only be had upon the specific authority of the Town Building Commissioner. A second renewal fee shall also be paid. Any renewal of a permit must comply with all statutes, code chapters, ordinances and other regulations then in effect at the time of renewal and the regulations in affect at the time of the issuance of the original permit are no longer valid.
