(A) Light required. When in use during the period of darkness, each bicycle shall be equipped with and shall display a white light on the front thereof, said lamp to be securely fastened to the bicycle, and plainly discernable from a distance of 300 feet ahead under normal atmospheric conditions, and a red reflector on the rear thereof, which shall be plainly visible at night in the lawful lights of motor vehicles for a distance of 200 feet to the rear under like conditions.

(B) Warning device required.
(1) No person shall ride a bicycle unless it is equipped with a suitable bell or other warning device audible for a distance of 100 feet or more.
(2) Whistles or sirens are prohibited as warning devices.

(C) Brakes required. Every bicycle shall be equipped with a brake which will enable the operator to make the braked wheels skid on a dry, level, clean pavement.
