501.13 PAYMENT OF COST OF CONFINEMENT.
   (a)   Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 753.02, any person convicted of a criminal offense in the Perrysburg Municipal Court or in Mayor’s Court of the Village of Walbridge, pursuant to these Codified Ordinances, other than a minor misdemeanor, and who, as a consequence of such conviction is confined in the County Jail or workhouse, as provided in Ohio R.C. 1905.35, shall reimburse the Village for its expenses incurred by reason of such confinement, including, but not limited to, expenses relating to the provision of food, clothing and shelter.
   (b)   The amount of reimbursement required to be made by the inmate shall be determined by the Mayor’s Court or the Municipal Court at a hearing held pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2929.15.
   (c)   The Solicitor is hereby authorized to institute an appropriate civil action in the name of the Village in the Court of Common Pleas of the County in which the County Jail or workhouse is located, to recover from the inmate the reimbursement for the expenses of his or her confinement as determined by the Mayor’s Court or Municipal Court.
