373.14 RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIRS.
   No person shall operate a motorized wheelchair upon any street or highway or any public or private property used by the public for purposes of vehicular or pedestrian travel for parking unless all of the following conditions have been met:
   (a)   Every motorized wheelchair when in use at the times specified in Section 337.02 shall be equipped with the following:
      (1)   Red reflectors on the front, rear and sides of a type approved by the Ohio Director of Public Safety that shall be visible from all distances from 100 to 600 feet when directly in front of lawful lower beams of headlamps on a motor vehicle; or
      (2)   Reflective tape on the front, rear and sides, which has the same degree of visibility of the type described in subsection (a)(1).
   (b)   No person operating a motorized wheelchair shall carry another person, not an infant, upon the motorized wheelchair.
   (c)   Whoever is convicted or pleads guilty to a violation of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars.
