(a) The Mayor shall recommend to Council a person to be appointed as Tax Commissioner. Council shall confirm this appointment by a majority vote of those elected to Council.
(b) Should the Mayor not recommend any person to Council as Tax Commissioner within thirty days of the opening of the position of Tax Commissioner, then the Finance Committee shall recommend to Council and appoint a prospective appointee. Council then shall confirm this appointment by a majority of those elected.
(c) The Tax Commissioner shall be removed from this position only by a motion and roll call vote of the majority of those elected to Council.
