(a) Absence. Council Members shall make every effort to notify the Mayor, Village Manager or the Clerk of Council of their absence prior to a Council meeting.
(b) Absence from Meetings. A proportionate reduction in the salary of any member of Council shall be made for any absence from regular or special meeting of Council. However, two-thirds of the members elected to Council may excuse any member from attendance at any regular or special meeting, and when so excused no reduction in their salary shall be made for this absence.
(c) Excused During Meeting. No Council Member shall be excused while Council is in session except by permission of the Chair.
