The approval or conditional approval of the preliminary plan shall be effective for a maximum period of twenty-four months from the date of the approval or conditional approval and shall guarantee that the terms under which the approval was granted will not be affected by changes to this chapter. The subdivider may submit a request in writing for one twelve-month extension of this approval to the Village Planning Commission within sixty days after the expiration of the original twenty-four month approval period. In the event the subdivider has not submitted the final plan for approval after the expiration of the one twelve month extension of time of the approval or conditional approval of the preliminary plan, the subdivider will be required to resubmit the preliminary plan for approval or conditional approval and will be subject to any and all changes of this chapter relative to said approval or conditional approval.
