145.05 HOLIDAYS.
   The Council of the Village of Wakeman observes the following holidays:
      New Year’s Day      1st Day of January
      President’s Day      3rd Monday in February
      Memorial Day      Last Monday in May
      Independence Day      4th of July
      Labor Day         1st Monday in September
      Veteran’s Day      11th of November
      Thanksgiving Day      4th Thursday in November
      Christmas Day      25th of December
      Floating Holiday 1      Employee choice
      Floating Holiday 2      Employee choice.
   (b)   All full-time employees shall receive holiday pay consisting of eighth ours pay for the holidays designated herein. Employees may substitute Good Friday as a designated holiday for either President’s Day or Veteran’s Day. Should circumstances require a full-time employee to work on a designated holiday, the employee shall be paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate, in addition to the eight hours holiday pay as set forth herein. In the event one of the above-listed holidays falls on a full-time employee’s day off, the full-time employee shall be paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate, eight hours holiday pay as set forth herein.
   (c)   Should circumstances require a part-time employee to work on a designated holiday, the employee shall be paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate for the compensable hours said part time employee works, plus an additional eight hours holiday pay as set forth herein. However, part time employees will not receive holiday pay unless they actually work on a holiday as set forth herein.
   (d)   The employee’s supervisor as specified in Section 145.04 shall determine all full time employee holiday work requirements and direct said employees to perform such work as necessary. If the supervisor is unavailable after reasonable attempts to contact him, the Mayor shall specify and supervise such work as necessary.
   (e)   If the Mayor is unavailable after reasonable attempts to contact him, the President of Council shall specify and supervise such work as necessary.
   (f)   Floating Holidays. In addition to the traditional eight holidays provided in subsection (a) hereof, all full-time employees shall also receive holiday pay consisting of eight hours pay for two (2) Floating Holidays to be taken on any work day of the employee’s choice.
