The Village shall not hire any new employee without first conducting a physical examination at the Village’s expense. The Mayor shall designate a physician to examine each prospective employee. Further, the physician selected by the Mayor shall be required to make a recommendation to Council regarding that prospective employee’s fitness for the duties of the position to be filled. Should the examining physician recommend that a prospective employee is not medically suitable for that position, then that prospective employee shall not be considered for employment by the Village unless Council waives this requirement by a unanimous vote.
