(a) The Lake County Building Department is granted full authority to do all things necessary to administer and enforce the Residential Code of Ohio within the Village, including authority to accept and approve plans and specifications and authority to make inspections necessary within the Village in accordance with the provisions of the Residential Code of Ohio. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer are authorized to enter into any agreement with Lake County that Lake County may require for the administration and enforcement of the Residential Code of Ohio within the Village.
(b) In consideration of the Village granting the Lake County Building Department full authority to do all things necessary to administer and enforce the Residential Code of Ohio within the limits of the Village, the Lake County Building Department is authorized to retain all permit and inspection fees authorized by the State of Ohio for such purposes.
(c) The Lake County Building Department is responsible for obtaining all applicable certifications required by the State of Ohio for enforcement of the Residential Code of Ohio.
