§ 38.20 NET METERING.
   (A)   Available. To a customer with less than 25 kW of qualifying generation that qualifies for service under Neb. RS 70-1012,2, and provided that the Electric Department does not have net metering customers that provide in aggregate more than 1% capacity necessary to meet the local distribution utility’s average aggregate customer monthly peak demand forecast for that calendar year.
   (B)   Character of service. Unless otherwise provided by in the Interconnection Agreement, the character of purchased power will be single or three-phase alternating electric current of 60 hertz. Voltage shall be determined by the voltage of the Electric Department’s distribution system in the vicinity unless otherwise agreed.
   (C)   Measurement of energy. The amount of energy billed under the applicable retail rate schedule will equal the net amount of energy used at the customer meter. If there is excess energy produced in a given billing period, it will be reimbursed at the avoided cost rates in § 38.21.
