To provide certain minimum standards, provisions, and requirements for the safeguarding to a reasonable degree of life and property from the hazards of fire and explosion arising from the storage, handling, and use of hazardous substances, materials, and devices in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises by the 2009 edition of the “Life Safety Code,” issued by the National Fire Protection Association, printed in book or pamphlet form, is hereby incorporated by reference in addition to all amended editions as though printed in full herein. A copy of the most current edition will be on file at the office of the City Clerk and available for public inspection at any reasonable time. The provisions of the 2009 “Life Safety Code” shall be controlling throughout the city and throughout its zoning jurisdiction.
