A. Generally: All contractors and subcontractors (hereinafter collectively referred to as "contractors") shall perform their work in such a manner to comply with all applicable state laws and village ordinances. Contractors shall promptly repair, restore, or clean all streets, curbs, sidewalks, or other public property, which has been disturbed, damaged, or otherwise impaired due to their construction activities, to a condition as good or better than existed prior to said disturbing, damaging, or impairing.
B. Safety Requirements: Contractors shall maintain their equipment and work areas in a safe condition. All debris shall be contained on the site and promptly disposed of in accordance with all applicable laws. All openings and excavations shall be well marked or covered, in accordance with applicable OSHA requirements. Curbs, sidewalks, and streets shall be sufficiently planked before any equipment is moved across or upon them so that they are not thereby damaged. Any dirt, mud, or other debris which is deposited upon public property as a result of any construction activity shall be promptly removed no less frequently than daily. Inspectors shall be provided with safe access for inspections, including planking over muddy areas and safe ladders, when necessary for inspection. (Ord. 2015-947, 4-8-2015)
