11-3-2: DRAINAGE AND STORM SEWER FACILITIES:
   A.   Storm Water Drainage: Adequate facilities shall be provided in all subdivisions for the proper drainage of storm water runoff from the ground surface.
   B.   Ditches And Drainage Swales: In subdivision comprising forty thousand (40,000) square foot or larger lots, storm water runoff may generally be handled by roadside ditches and side or rear yard drainage swales along with adequate cross road and driveway culverts. Roadside ditches and swales shall have a minimum bottom width of two feet (2') and maximum side slopes of 3:1 and shall be a minimum of two feet (2') below the crown of the road. The minimum gradient of roadside ditches and swales shall be one percent (1%). Where topography or other conditions, in the opinion of the Village Engineer, so warrant, the Village may require that storm sewer facilities be provided in conjunction with overland drainage improvements described above.
   C.   Storm Sewers: Storm sewers may be required, where deemed necessary by the Village Board and Village Engineer. Storm sewer materials shall be limited to reinforced concrete pipe and shall be not less than twelve inches (12") in diameter. (Ord. 96-445, 7-2-1996)
