11-1-6: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS BY THE VILLAGE:
Approval by the Village Board and recording of the final plat of subdivision of any land situated within the Village shall be deemed to be an acceptance by the Village of all dedications, such as parks and streets, as to the underlying fee simple title. However, all public improvements of the subdivision, including the road and drainage improvements, shall only be accepted by the Village Board, by duly approved resolution, after they are completed according to the approved plans and specifications, and upon recommendation of the Village Engineer. Unless and until the public improvements are accepted by the Village Board, they shall remain strictly the responsibility of the subdivider. Until the improvements are so accepted, the subdivider shall be responsible for all maintenance, including snow plowing. In addition, the subdivider shall be responsible to repair or replace any public improvements, which are damaged or fail to operate properly, for any reason, unless and until said improvements are duly accepted by the Village Board.
